COVID-19

Greetings Friends,

I am sure that everyone is wondering what is happening within the church due to this health scare. Let me tell you there has been a lot of prayer and discernment happening behind the scenes that have brought us to where we are today.

Starting immediately the church will be closed to all groups with the exception of the AA groups. They will be allowed to meet until the end of March. With that said we hope to have the church reopening for the Easter service unless this virus forces us to keep it closed longer. Stay tuned for more updates.

In the mean time here is what you can expect. Starting Sunday we will have our worship service via Facebook Live. In order to participate in this you will need to be a part of our HFCC Facebook group. This is a private group so you will need to request permission to join and once approved you will see the live videos. Also, throughout the week, Kim and or I will be doing a daily video of encouragement and continued study. This will be something that may help to take place of some of the Bible Study groups you were already a part of. But for full participation you will need to be a part of Rightnow Media. If you aren’t the link to sign up will be on the HFCC page.

On another note we want to make sure that we all stay in contact with each other via phone and email. Please keep checking in with each other. We know some people don’t like this idea of social isolation and others can’t wait for it. Please stay connected. Also, this may be a great time to check on your neighbors, make new friends, and shine the light of Jesus to those around you who are scared to death. Remember, this is a new thing for us but God already has it all figured out. We need to trust in Him and not allow our fears to get in the way.

Two verses come to mind in this time. First is Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am our God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Second is 1John 4:18 “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives our fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

Remember, God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.

Blessings my Friends,

Pastor Scott
